MESSAGE FROM THE ACADEMIC QUALITY ASSURANCE COMMITTEE CHAIR PERSON

Dear Colleagues and Course Participants,

Welcome to Universitas International, the premier professional education organization combining the academic rigour of participating universities with practical needs of government management in various sectors!

On behalf of our team, I wish to express our gratitude for your support and trust in our programs and their effectiveness. Your active participation and the results derived from our training programs drive our commitment to our values: Creativity and Innovation , Equality and Anti-discrimination, and Quality Assurance.

Launched in 2017, the impetus for Universitas International arose out of the growing need for civil service and international organization service training based on the latest applied academic research and practical needs identified by our experts and partners. To this end, Universitas teamed up with a select group of leading universities and colleges globally to offer certified training at an affordable cost and within reasonable time-frames that focus on development, renewal, and performance improvements. The Academic Quality Assurance Committee (AQAC) , set up by Universitas and representatives from the participating universities and practitioners, will ensure academic and practical rigour of the course material and delivery, as well as its relevance to the current professional environment.

In designing our course offerings, Universitas was guided by the understanding that international standards for development organizations and governments require these entities to re-evaluate their methods of strategic, operational, and technical performance regularly. This often requires reform of management and technical processes alike. Universitas International focuses solely on addressing this change in landscape by preparing and delivering world class training to managers and staff of international governmental and private organizations. We do this by taking on the role of project manager responsible for all management, coordination, recruitment, marketing and implementation.

The capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, was chosen as the training site due to proximity to the target region (reducing cost of travel), comfort and security, access to technology, and outstanding infrastructure. Azerbaijan is also part of a historical Silk Road, a meeting place of many cultures and peoples, and therefore provides a colorful backdrop to the training sessions.

In 2017, we are eager and excited to play a fundamental role in equipping international governmental and private organizations with the necessary skills and tools to navigate through the changing international landscape of the 21st century.

THE ACADEMIC QUALITY ASSURANCE COMMITTEE (AQAC)

The Academic Quality Assurance Committee (AQAC) ensures the academic and practical rigour of the course material and delivery as well as its relevance to the current professional environment. The AQAC is made up of representatives from the participating universities and practitioners.

The development of capacity begins from the moment the participants register. A short questionnaire sent to participants will give the instructor a sense of the group attending the course. This will allow the instructor to develop examples relevant to members of the group. On the 45th day following the completion of the course an online session is offered to participants to ask questions about application of acquired skills and seek clarification or reinforcement of concepts.
